NEW WEBINAR SERIES

The Ohio Genealogical Society is pleased to offer a series of webinars originally presented by genealogy educators Lisa Alzo and Thomas MacEntee. These webinars are being presented as a members-only benefit. They may not be downloaded or shared. These webinars were produced by Hack Genealogy. Hack Genealogy is owned and administered by Thomas MacEntee. All rights reserved.

The first webinar being presented is: Ladies First: Finding Your Female Ancestors Mini Boot Camp

There are handouts available as well for you. Find Your Female Ancestors is a great webinar and gives you many clues and ideas on where to research and how to research your female ancestors. Since half of our ancestors are female, it is just as important to find their information as it is to find their husbands' information.

A new webinar will be added about every 4 weeks. We hope you enjoy this new feature.

Eric Johnson to Speak on World War I Records

School may be out, but learning doesn't take a break at the Ohio Genealogical Society! Eric Johnson, ex-military and an OGS Trustee, will speak on World War I Research Tips tomorrow, Saturday, May 14th, at 10:00 AM at the Isaly Library of the Ohio Genealogical Society, 611 SR 97 W, Bellville OH (Exit 165 on I-71). This is our second Summer of Learning session and it is FREE! Non-members may stay the remainder of the day and research in the library at no charge. The 100th anniversary of the Great War is underway. This is a great opportunity to learn about the records that were created that we genealogists may use!
